"Vaccination preserves life/Look to a healthy future!"

On May 27, 2023, the Baku General Health Center, operating under TABIB and with the valuable organizational support of "Park Bulvar" shopping mall, hosted the event "Vaccination Preserves Life/Look to a Healthy Future!"

The primary objective of the event is to raise awareness among the public about vaccines, which are the most effective tools for safeguarding against numerous infectious diseases, with a focus on ensuring the well-being of children and securing a healthy future.

During this event, which combined both entertainment and educational elements, enjoyable programs were arranged for children, while informative materials were distributed to parents. Moreover, information regarding the vaccines administered to children in our country was provided, and any questions or concerns they had were addressed.

It should be noted that due to systematic vaccination efforts in Azerbaijan, poliomyelitis has been successfully eradicated, and the incidence of measles, diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis has significantly decreased.

Currently, Azerbaijan offers vaccines against hepatitis B, tuberculosis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae type B infection, rubella, measles, and mumps.

The objective of the vaccination series is to confer immunity to children, thereby averting their susceptibility to infectious diseases.

The prevention of infectious diseases through prophylactic vaccines (immunoprophylaxis) is widely regarded as the most effective means of safeguarding the population's health against contagious illnesses. It is universally recognized that vaccines constitute an indispensable tool in the global effort to eradicate infectious diseases and mitigate their associated complications. Presently, vaccination programs are being implemented in 180 countries worldwide under the guidance and oversight of the World Health Organization (WHO).

It is important to emphasize that vaccination in our country strictly adheres to the National Vaccination Calendar, and all vaccines utilized undergo rigorous scrutiny at the Analytical Expertise Center of Medicines (AEM) within the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ensuring their safety and efficacy.

Let us not leave children susceptible to severe diseases!

Vaccination preserves life!
